Bookkeeping Inspired exists because there's a version of this industry that runs on systems, not gut instinct, and most bookkeepers have never seen it modeled.
THE BACKGROUND
Sixteen years of real firm experience.
I've been running a bookkeeping firm for over 16 years. I started solo. Just me, a laptop, and a client list I was figuring out how to manage. Over time the firm grew. Staff came on. Client volume increased. And what had worked when it was just me stopped working the moment someone else needed to do it the same way.
That's when I learned the hard way what every growing bookkeeping firm eventually discovers: the thing holding you back isn't skill. It's the absence of systems.
So I built them. Not because I had a background in operations or business design, but because the alternative was chaos, and I'd already lived in that long enough.
THE TURNING POINT

The firm became something that ran on systems. Not on me. And once I'd built that, I couldn't stop thinking about how many bookkeepers were still in the version of the business I'd left behind.
